Anna Jo Jones Thomas was born on September 5, 1934 to Ansel H. Jones, Sr. and Camelia Bliss Jones in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  A graduate of Jett High School and she attended Hinds Junior College.  She was retired from Anderson-Tully Company, where she was a Human Resource Specialist.  After her retirement, she worked part time at LeTourneau Company as a Human Resources Consultant.  Anna Jo was a devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church, serving as Treasurer, Sunday School Secretary and serving on several committees.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Anthony (Bill) Thomas; three brothers, William, Ansel, Jr. and Phillip; six sisters, Catherine Hartley, Evelyn Beauchamp, Dorothy Rusk, Emma Marshall, Alice White and Ollie Jones.

Survivors include her sons, Benjie (Sandy), Marshall (Joy), of Vicksburg; and daughter, Tabitha Clifton (Lonnie) of Frisco, Texas; five grandsons, Andrew Thomas (Lisa), Aaron Thomas (Alania), Alexander Thomas, Jacob (Kacey) Thomas and Cameron Clifton; two granddaughters, Sarah Clifton and Faith Ashley (Bryce); five great grandchildren, Aria, Ayden, Kindell, Hayes and L.G.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and Franklin Hicks, Phillip (Sonny) Jones, James Joyner, Richard Nevels, Jerry Hardy and Don Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Mathews and Steve Montgomery.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 4 at Immanuel Baptist Church.  Services will be at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Billy Brumfield officiating.  Private graveside services will follow at Hilderbrand Cemetery.
