Barbara Jean Mathews Parker Grandmama'

It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Jean Mathews Parker announce of her passing on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the age of 84.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her daughter Bobbie Hampton (Ed), her six grandchildren Jeremy Marshall (Brooke), Andrew Marshall (Amber), Brandon Marshall (Hallie), Kristen Marshall Hynum (Austin), Christian Hampton Brewer (Caze), Hannah Hampton Stanley (Chris) and her 15 great grandchildren Jerald, Raelynn, Gavin, Addileigh, Easton, John Wyatt, Lux, Cade, Bryant, Logan, Dalton, Chloe, Kylee, Baylie Grace and Benjamin, her brother

Bobby Mathews and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

Barbara was proceeded in death by her husband Thomas Moody Parker, her parents Bobbie Lavinia Mathews and Earl Mathews. her sister-in-law- Bernice Mathews.

Pallbearers are Jeremy Marshall, Andrew Marshall, Brandon Marshall, Austin Hynum, Caze Brewer and Chris Stanley.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to her loving caregivers Ms. Butler and Ms. Howard, also to Centerwell Home Health and Enhabit Hospice for all of their love and support.

Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 6949 US-61 South, Vicksburg, MS 39180 on Monday, July 10, 2023. Visitation will begin at 9:00am with the funeral at 11:00 am, burial will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery, 191 US-80, Vicksburg, MS 39180.
