Bennie Mayfield McMillin passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center at the age of 67.  Born in Vicksburg, He was the son of the late James McMillin and Frances Helen Murray.  He was a graduate of Warren Central High School and was a general maintenance worker for Waterview Casino.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Bennie was preceded in death by his wife, Alice McMillin; a brother, Sam McMillin; and a sister, Rose Marie Elliot.

He leaves behind three stepsons:  Tony Landrum, Wendell Landrum, and Jonathan Buttner; his siblings, Noble McMillin, Roy McMillin, Gus O'Neal Murray, Jr., Patrick O'Neal Murray, Anthony Lee Murray, and Frances Murray Whitehead; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Monday, April  8 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home at 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg.

In lieu of flowers, his family requests memorials be made to Love's Lighthouse Ministries.
