Betty K. Allen Atkinson passed away on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at her home in Vicksburg, MS.   She was 60. Betty was the daughter of the late Rollie F. Allen and Shirley B. Darby.

in addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by brothers, James Daniel (Hoot) Gipson, Jr. (JoAnn), Franklin P. Gipson, IV.

Survivors include her husband, R. Leigh Atkinson, Jr.; son, David L. Derrick, Jr.; daughter, Nichole Allen; son, Robert Anson Mosley (Laura); grandchildren, Haylee (Skylar), Kaylee, Blake, Leslie, Hanna, Ashton (Lindsey), Alaina, Kaleb, Kobe,  KaitLynn; great-grandchildren, Clinton, Remey and Olivia; brothers and sisters, Rollie F. Allen, Jr. (Cindy) of Lafayette, LA, Dianna Allen Wood of West Monroe, LA, Rollie (Trey) Allen, III (Judy) of Edwards, Leann Bounds (Steve) of Vicksburg.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on  Tuesday, August 17 at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City, MS under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home.
