Betty Jane Williams Mangum ( lovingly known as Winkie ) , 77 , of Nesbit , MS died April 21 , 2022 . She was born in Vicksburg on November 18 , 1944 . She was the daughter of the late D . T . and Florence Williams . Winkie was a very loving and generous person. When her sons and grandchildren brought friends over to visit , she always made them feel like they were one of her own . Her kindness and sweet n ature brightene d every room she entered . In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ja mes R. Mangum and two brothers , David Cecil Williams and James Henderson Williams . She is survived by two sons , Robert Christopher Mangum of Memphis , TN and Perry Lamar Mangum of Southaven , MS ; two grandchildren , Robert Christopher Mangum , Jr . ( Lindsey ) of Senatobia , MS and Elizabeth Renee Mangum ( Tanner Price) of Horn Lake , MS ; four great - grandchildren : Sadie Mae Florence , Lydia Rose , Emma Kate , and Baylor James . She is also survived by a sister , Patricia Ann Hartley (Odie ) , and numerous nieces and nephews .

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26 at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
