Bobby G. Sanders died Friday, December 6, 2019 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center.He was 69.Mr. Sanders was born in Bastrop, LA to the late Clarence A. and Ona Irby Sanders. He was a veteran of the U.S. air force serving in Vietnam.He retired from ERDC in 2012 as Chief Supervisory Guard.He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Sanders and nine brothers and sisters.He is survived by his son, Robert Sanders of Houston, TX; his daughter, Janice Miller (Richard) of Vicksburg; four grandchildren:Chase Miller (Jessica), Colby Miller (Kayla), Robert Sanders, and Kaylie Sanders;three great-grandchildren:Caleb Worthy, Lana Hubbard, and Gauge Miller; and two sisters, Martha Saffley of Hattiesburg, MS and Ona Patrick of Wiggins, MS; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 AM Monday, December 9, 2019 at Riles Funeral Home.Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.Interment will be at 11 AM Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery in Mathiston, MS.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
