Bonnie Pope Kendrix passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 due to natural causes. She was 69. Born in Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Irene Pope.   She moved to Vicksburg in 2018 to be near her daughter and son-in-law after retiring from the restaurant industry.  She enjoyed singing and spending time with her grandchildren, who were her world.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Taylor (Ted) and Billie Hartwell (Glenn); and her twin brother, Donnie Pope.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandi Montgomery (Shawn) of Vicksburg; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Starr Montgomery; a brother Evon Pope (Tammy) of Phenix City, AL; a brother-in-law, Junior Kendrix (Nicole) of Banner, MS; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

Visitation will be Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 12 noon to 1:45 PM at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg, MS.  A graveside service will follow at 2 PM at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Junior Kendrix, Tommy Willis, Trey Kendrix, Mitchell Kendrix, Kevin Sexton, and Michael Morlino.
