Bree Lee Jr. died at his home Tuesday, June 4, 2019. He was 81.

A native of Vicksburg, Bree was born on August 14, 1937 in Phoenix, MS on the banks of the Big Black River. He lived most of his life in Vicksburg. He was an Army Veteran from 1955 to 1957. He retired from the Vicksburg Fire Department as Captain.

He is preceded in death by his wife Mamie Helen Woods Lee (married 44 years), his father Bree Lee, Sr., his mother Ora Lee, and his brother Alton Charles Lee. He is survived by his children, David Earl Lee (Carol) of Gainesville, FL, Cindy Lynn Beasley (William) of Gilmer, TX, and Roxie Corbin of Denham Springs, LA, Cathy Cook of Terry, MS, James Hammack (Jeannie) of Vicksburg, MS, David Hammack (Hazel) of Vicksburg, MS, Elizabeth Taylor of Jacksonville, FL; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren & 1 great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be at 1 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Riles Funeral Home. The service will follow at 2 pm with Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating.

Private interment will be at the Lee Family Cemetery.
