December 16, 1922 – June 26, 2020
Brooks E. Boggan passed away June 26, 2020 at Merit Health River Region at the age of 97. He was born in Bath Springs, TN . In 1930 he made his home in Vicksburg, MS.
He served in World War II and Korean War. He was the last surviving member of Company 106 th Engineer Association. He retired from ERDC-WES in Structures Laboratory Nuclear Weapons Division. He attended Woodlawn Baptist Church where he served as a greeter and handed out bulletins each Sunday.
Was preceded in death by the love of his life of 72 years Juanita B. Boggan. His parents, John Henry and Mary Mirannda Stroawn Boggan. Sister Virginia Broderick and brother Parker Boggan.
Survived by daughter, Kathy Friar, and son, Brooks "Eddie" Boggan (Cathy). One sister, Meryl Brewster. 5 grandchildren: Melissa Haas (Sam), Melanie Dixon (Stewart), Micheal "Mickey" Allen, Chris Boggan (Christy), and Ashley Boggan (Mary Ann). 15 great grandchildren: Tre Haas, Tyler Haas (Brooke), Travis Haas (Ragan), Sean Dixon, Mirannda Dixon, Kathy Allen, Montrell Allen, Becca Boggan, Matthew Boggan (Rachel), Brynn Boggan, Jace McCready, Kenneth Nuguid, Eddie Boggan, Beth Boggan, and Ashlie Grace Boggan. 6 great great grandchildren: Jacob Boggan, Sami Boggan, Maggie Haas, Kheri Haas, Conner Boggan, and Aubrey McCready. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Pall bearers: Tre Haas, Tyler Haas, Travis Haas, Matt Boggan, Montrell Allen, Kenneth Nuguid, and Sean Dixon.
Honorary Pallbearers: Sam Haas, Stewart Dixon, Mickey Allen, Chris Boggan, and Ashley Boggan.

Visitation at Fisher Funeral Home, 1830 Cherry Street, will be Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 10:00 until hour of service. Service will be at 11:00 at Fisher Funeral Home. Graveside to follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers make donations to Woodlawn Baptist Church Sanctuary Renovation Fund.
