Bruce Alan Presson died Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Merit Health Central in Jackson, MS.  He was 60.  A native of West Helena, Arkansas, Bruce was a graduate of Warren Central High School and the University of Mississippi. He retired in 2019 after serving 33 years with the Greenville Police Department having reached the rank of Lieutenant and becoming certified as a master firearms instructor.  He was preceded in death by his father, Troy Laverne  Presson.  Survivors include his mother, Thelma Presson; his two beloved cats, Smokey and Samantha, whom he loved as if they were his children; his best friend, Janet Copeland of Greenville, MS and his 100 brothers and sisters in blue.  A private graveside service will be held at 2 PM Monday, April 13, 2020 at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
