Buddy Baker's Obituary
Earle M. (Buddy) Baker, Jr., passed away on September 26, 2021 in Vicksburg, MS. Buddy was born in Birmingham, AL, on April 9, 1947, to the late Earle M. Baker, Sr. and Janice Cole Baker. He graduated from H.V. Cooper High School in Vicksburg and Mississippi State University.
Buddy was known for his work in historical preservation. He enjoyed working in the yard, tending to and watching his hummingbirds, and cheering on his Mississippi State Bulldogs.
Buddy is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lynn Hilderbrand Baker; children: Brad Baker (Laura) of Madison, MS, Kelly B. Stanford (Gary) of Bradenton, FL, and Brett Baker of Hoover, AL; grandchildren: Josh and Christian Stanford and Noah Baker. He is also survived by his sister Gwen B. Case of Peachtree City, GA.
The celebration of his life will be Wednesday, September 29, at First Christian Church in Vicksburg. Visitation will be from 2PM until time of the service at 3:30PM,
