Carolyn Parker went to be with our Lord on August 18th, 2020. She was 74 years old.

She was born on August 17, 1946 to Mabra and Willie Mae Lowery and had 11 siblings.  She lived most of her life in Holly Bluff, Mississippi. While living there she was employed at Delta Elastics in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. She later moved to Greenville, Mississippi to be close to her children.

In 1970 she married Jerry H. Parker. They were married for 43 years and from their marriage they had four children, eight grandchildren, and one great grandson.

Carolyn had accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and Lord at a young age and was baptized. She had a gentle and loving spirit.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers, three sisters, and one granddaughter, Kristina F. Kelley.

She is survived by her children:   Veronica K. Parker, Alicia F. Parker, Matthew H. Parker (Jennifer), and Dean R.  Parker; her grandchildren:   Joshua S. Tackett (Laura), Jessica C. Tackett, Kiersten D. Kelley, Dillion R. Kelley, Alexander H. Velasquez, Ryleigh R. Parker, Kendall K. Parker; her great grandchild, Myles S. Tackett;  her brothers, Lance Lowery and Charlie Lowery; her sisters,  Adrienne Kirkland and Betty Jean Kirkland; numerous nieces and nephews;  and a host of friends who were thought of as family by her.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Monday, August 24, 2020 at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery, 191 Highway 80 in Vicksburg, MS.  Pallbearers will be Gabriel Ortega, Sidney Parker, Dale Cockrell, Scott Windham, Mike Lowery, Joshua Tackett, and Alexander Velasquez .
