Catherine Willette Bowers died October 14, 2018 in Vicksburg, Mississippi.She was born October 27, 1950 in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents Irene and Bill Bowers.Survivors are her brother Bill Bowers and his wife Marie of Georgetown, IN and sister Lenore Barkley of Vicksburg, MS.

Cathy moved to Vicksburg, MS in 2001.She received 2 bachelor degrees at Arkansas State University and a masters degree in Music from the University of Tulsa.She was first chair french horn in numerous orchestras in Arkansas, Oklahoma and the University of Angers, France.She lived in France in the 1970'sand spoke fluent French.She was a lover of all cats.

She will be cremated and requested some of the ashes be scattered in the Mississippi River.Memorials can be made to the Vicksburg Humane Society, Vicksburg Historical Society, Vicksburg Foundation for Historic Preservation or a favorite charity.
