Cecil Hunt Knight of Brandon, Florida, passed away on May 6, in Brandon. He was 85.

Cecil was born in Clarksville, Tennessee, in 1934. He travelled the world with the USAF, serving in Korea and Vietnam before retiring from the military after twenty years of active service. He then worked as a vice president for a regional restaurant company until his retirement in 1986.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnn Scott Knight, a native of Vicksburg, sister Dorothy Siegel of Massachusetts, daughter Rebecca Rausch, son Todd (Dori) Sullivan, grandchildren Kelley Ellis, Kerri Wicker, Ryan Sullivan, Sean Sullivan and Connor Sullivan, great grandchildren BreAnn Ruedeman, Kaitlyn Ruedeman, Brenton Ruedeman Jr., Landri Ellis, Zachary Wicker and Zoie Wicker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Irene Lancaster Knight, son Rick Sullivan, sisters Ernestine Gibson, Virginia Farmer and Shirley Paul and brothers Thomas D. Knight, Jessie E. Knight, Joe Bob Knight and James Russell Knight.

Graveside service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, May 16, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
