Cheryl Arazny Rivers died Sunday, October 24, 2021 at St. Dominic in Jackson, MS.  She was 75.  Born in Chicago, she had been a resident of Vicksburg since childhood.  She was the daughter of the late Victor and Doris Arazny.  She was a graduate of H.V. Cooper High School.  She moved to Jackson shortly after graduation and began her career in the medical field, retiring from the VA Hospital after 20 years of service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Andrew Dunaway.

She is survived by her husband, Dolson R. Rivers of Flowood; her daughter, Tracy N. Dunaway of Richland; her sister, Deborah Davidson of Sanford, FL;  two grandchildren,  Christopher L. Rundle, and Kristin Dunaway, both of Richland; and two great-grandchildren, Alana Skye Jewell and Declan Joshua Brazeal.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg.  Visitation will be from 9 AM until the hour of service.
