Cynthia Murdock passed away on Friday, December 26 at the age of 78.  Cynthia was the daughter of the late Florence and Fletcher Grimes, she was raised in Mineral Wells, TX.  She was a resident of Vicksburg for most of her adult life after living in Belgium for several years. She retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  She was a longtime member of Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Murdock, her son, Clint Murdock; and a brother, Alan Grimes.

She is survived by her brother, Roger Grimes (Carolyn) of Pearland, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 31 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, located at 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg with Rev. Mitch Cochran of Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church officiating.  Visitation will be from 9 AM until the hour of service.  Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
