Donald Andrew Cordell died Thursday, December 26, 2024 at the age of 96.  Mr. Cordell was born in South Dakota to the late Andrew John and Florence Irene Cordell.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.  He retired from working in maintenance with the Mesa School District in Mesa, AZ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Lewis Cordell and two grandsons, Isaac Glapion, Jr., and Caleb Refuge.

He is survived by his daughter, Florence Glapion (Isaac); six grandchildren: Sue Parham (Ronnie), Ferdinand Glapion (Charlotte), Joseph Glapion, Geneva Glapion, Sylvia Dawson (James), and Doris Glapion; great-grandchildren:  Ferdinand Glapion, Jr., Syrilla Glapion, Harmonie Glapion, Jakyan Glapion, Stephanie Griffin (Tyler), Haley Parham, Zachary Parham, Zephaniah Glapion, Zuriah Glapion, Tyler Glapion, Tiona Glapion, Devon Glapion, Derrick Refuge, Travis Refuge, Jr., Xavier Refuge, Joshua Refuge, Jeshayah Refuge, Calynn Refuge; and 15 great-great grandchildren; and one great great great-grandchild.

Services will be held at noon on Monday, December 30 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue.  Visitation will be from 10 AM until the hour of service.
