Born November 14, 1954 in Vicksburg Ms. She was a daughter of Earnest E. Glidwell and Kathleen Bates.

Dorothy was a caregiver for many years with a wonderful heart. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband,  Charles Gladwell and two sons , Edward Gladwell and David Gladwell, both of Vicksburg,  Ms and multiple brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Willie Gladwell and Stephanie Brewer, both of Vicksburg Ms; Two grandchildren,  Alexander and James Gladwell; Three great grandchildren, Nevaeh Herrington, Isaiah Herrington and Jimah Herrington; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great nephews.
