Euylas Everett Burton, Sr. died on Sunday, January 18, 2026 at the home of his daughter, Kelly B. Rivet in Napoleonville, LA at the age of 79.  Mr. Burton was  the son of the late Jefferson Davis and Evron Burton and a graduate of Culkin High school and a retired Millwright.  He was a member of The New River Masonic Lodge F&AM 402 and an avid hunter and fisherman.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Burton was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Kleinman Burton; two brothers, Robert Burton and Jeff Burton; and a granddaughter, Addie Cason.

He is survived by two daughters, Kelly Burton Rivet (Patrick) and Lucy Burton Cason (Kemp); a son, Euylas Everett Burton, Jr. (Stephanie);  seven grandchildren:  Stephanie Rivet (Kerri), Emily Landry (Mitchel), Hayden Burton (Macey) Scott Burton (Camryn), Christopher Burton, Elizabeth Burton, and Emma Cason; and eight great-grandchildren:  Brenna Landry, Lucy Landry, Cole Rivet, Beau Rivet, Everett Jordan, Dane Dillon, Canyon Dillon, and Linley Burton.

Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, January 23 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg.   Visitation will be from 9 AM until the hour of service.  Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Phoenix, MS.  Pallbearers will be grandsons, Hayden, Scott, and Christopher Burton, Sons-in-law,  Patrick Rivet and Kemp Cason, and grandson-in-law, Mitchel Landry.  Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Paden.
