Eve Conway Bobb Taylor, 76, of Pinellas Park, Florida, died on March 1, 2022 at Morton Plant Hospital.  Born on October 28, 1945 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, to the late William Hawkins and Mary Bell Wood Bobb, Eve grew up in Vicksburg.  She graduated from H.V. Cooper High School, Class of '63.  Eve attended The Church of the Holy Trinity.  For twelve years, she took piano from Maimo Minter.  She received a bachelor's degree in 1967 from Mississippi State College for Women.  Eve's first teaching job was in the St. Petersburg area-Madeira Beach.  Then she taught English and Humanities at Seminole High School until retirement in 2004.  She was for 37 years an incredibly dedicated teacher.

Besides teaching, Eve spent many happy hours gardening, reading, volunteering, traveling, beaching, swimming and birding.  Eve's Garden Club, Book Clubs, and Bible Study group were very important to her.

Eve was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Taylor.  Eve is survived by her sister, Mary Bell Gibbes; her nephew, Walter Henry Gibbes, III, and his wife, Susan Feldman Gibbes; her niece, Taylor Conway Gibbes Turnage and her husband, Matthew Arnold Turnage; her great nephews, Walter Henry Gibbes, IV, David Kirkfield Gibbes and William Arnold Turnage; her great niece, Cecilia Anne Turnage; her first cousins, Stewart Easterby and Caroline Easterby Boyd and their families.

Eve's family wishes a heartfelt thank you to Eve's loyal and steadfast friends.  Mary Pat Troy and Mary Jane Dameron, and to her neighbors for all their help, Barbara Carter, Debbie Long and Kevin Johnson and to Anna Moore and her family, longtime friends.

Graveside service will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Vicksburg, on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Andy Andrews of the Church of the Holt Trinity officiating.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity.
