Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Francis Michael McNally announces his passing on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at the age of 75 years. Fran will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 30 years, Jane and his children, Colleen (Phil) Obos, Kathleen (Shawn) Dooley, Cyndi Bodmer, Randy Wright, Stephanie (Mark) Williamson, and Scott Wright, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, and by his sister, Nancy (David) Berkowitz.Fran was preceded in death by his parent Rita F. and Francis P. McNally.

Fran was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 17, 1943.His family moved to Berwyn, Illinois for a short time, and finally to Riverside, Illinois in 1950.He graduated from Fenwick High School of Oak Park, Illinois in 1961 and went on to Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he achieved dual Bachelor's Degrees in 1965.He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1966 where he achieved the rank of Corporal.In 1984, Fran received his Masters in Business Administration from Illinois Benedictine College.Following their love for history and Mississippi, Fran and his wife Jane relocated to Vicksburg, Mississippi in 2002 where they became very active in the garden clubs and the Wilderness Baptist Church.Fran held many regional and national sales positions over his lifetime which included positions at ProDiesel, ATK Vege, ACDelko, Nalco, and TechniPoint.He most recently worked as a tax preparer at Jackson Hewitt Tax Service, Inc.Fran had a great love of the Chicago Bears, Chicago White Sox, Chicago Blackhawks, all things New Orleans, Nascar, and a wide variety of music. Fran will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and beloved dog, Molly.

A reception will be held in his honor on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 PM at Riles Funeral Home at 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg, Mississippi. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in Fran's name to Tulane Medical Center in support of the organ donation program, the Wilderness Baptist Church of Vicksburg, MS, or the American Liver Foundation.
