Gene Ryan Neal died Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Merit Health-River Region Medical Center.He was 86.A native of Washington County, Mr. Neal was the son of the late Emmett Hamilton Neal and Margaret Carter Neal.He had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1975.He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and retired as Vice President of Magnolia Marine.He was a member of First Presbyterian Church.He was also a Mason.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Neal was preceded in death by a brother, Emmett Carl Neal.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hargett Neal; a son,Emmett Ryan Neal of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Jeanne Neal Kent (Jay) of Albany, LA;nine grandchildren:Ashley McLemore (Cory), Sarah Kent , Adam Kent, Will Harbour, McKenzie Neal, Chynna Neal, Emmett H. Neal, II, Margaret Kent, and Ryder Neal;and two great-grandchildren:Emma Jane Harbour and Julianne Kent.
Services will be 11 AM Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Riles Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Brown officiating.Visitation will be from 9 AM until the hour of service.Interment will follow at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Will Harbour, Cory McLemore, Chris Lenoir, Bubba Cole, Chris Cole, Steven Hargett, Billy Hargett, and Dave Dewey.
