George Nasif, Sr., a lifetime resident of Vicksburg, passed away October 3. Mr. Nasif was 87 years old. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Bobbie Nasif; by his children and their spouses—George Jr. and Judy, Greg and Linda, Butch, Amy and Ronnie, Julie and Bob; by 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and also by his sister Lillian Johnson. He is predeceased by his parents Milid and Mamie Nasif and sisters Marie Nosser, Jeanette McCann, Gloria Kennedy, and Joann Roland.

Mr. Nasif served as past president of Vicksburg Specialty Company, which was founded by his father in 1937. An active member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, he served as president of the church board for many years. He was also a member of the Rotary Club of Vicksburg.

Graveside services were held October 6 at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
