Gregory Andrew Gerhardt died Wednesday, February 27, 2019.He was 69.Mr. Gerhardt was born in Cheverly, Maryland to the late Robert Bernard Gerhardt and Helen Haldeman Gerhardt.He grew up in the Detroit area.He was a veteran of the US Army, serving in Vietnam.He lived in Palm Coast, FL for 26 years where he raised his children.He worked as a systems analyst in the banking industry.Mr. Gerhardt, along with his wife, LilyAnn moved to Vicksburg in 2015 to help spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to children of Warren County and the southern Mississippi delta region through Child Evangelism Fellowship.He faithfully attended First Baptist Church of Vicksburg.
Mr. Gerhardt is survived by his wife of 41 years, LilyAnn Gerhardt; two sons:Cmdr. Darren Gerhardt (Jessica) of Falls Church, VA and Ryan Gerhardt of Ormond Beach, FL; two grandchildren:Caelen Gerhardt and Skylar Gerhardt; a sister, Linda Gerhardt of Texas; and two brothers:Dick Gerhardt and David Gerhardt, both of Detroit, MI.
