Harvey Eugene Hester passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at the age of 77.  Harvey was born in Vicksburg to the late Jess Hester and Estelle Hester Ahner and was later adopted by the late Bessie Lowery.  He attended Carr Central High School.  He served in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam.  He was a was a member of the Vicksburg Board  Club.  He retired from Vicksburg Chemical.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include two sisters, Kitty Ahner of Vicksburg and Maureen Reddoch of Kenner, LA; a brother, Dale Ahner of Delhi, LA; a niece, Jessica Armato (Trey) of La Place, LA; and two great-nieces, Averie and Aria Armato; and lifelong friends, Neil Brooks and Johnny Hughes.

A visitation with military honors will be held from 2 PM to 4 PM on Saturday, August 24 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue, Vicksburg, MS.
