Lela Irene Jones passed away peacefully at 5:45 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018. Visitation will be Noon to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fisher Funeral Home with Dwayne and Carrie Mayo officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. Irene was born in New Hebron to Fannie White on June 23, 1934. She graduated from Jett High School. She worked as a Pharmacy Tech for Medisave Pharmacy and Durst Pharmacy for 35 years. Irene was preceded in death by her mother, Fannie White; a son, Paul Jones and former husband, James Everett Jones, Sr. Irene is survived by her sons, James Jones (Marilyn), Jerry Jones and daughter, Gail Dowdle (Jon); four sisters, Lois Muirhead (Henry), Faye Willis (Willie), Carolyn Hearn (Pete) and Ellean Lowery (Herbert); ten grandchildren, Carrie Mayo (Dwayne), Matthew Jones (Amber), Kyle Jones, Nathan Jones, Jack Dowdle, Emma and Ella Jones, Ethan Dowdle, Drew Dowdle and Graham Jones; two great-grandchildren, Selby Jones and Julian Jones. Pallbearers will be James Jones, Graham Jones, Jerry Jones, Robert White, Jon Dowdle and Jack Dowdle.
