Jack T. Gillis, 92, died at River Region Hospital surrounded by his family on Feb. 27, 2023. Mr. Gillis worked for South Central Bell for 39 years. He was in the U.S. Army as a first sergeant during the Korean conflict. Later, he served in the Ms. National Guard. He was a deacon and a Member of Trinity Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Helen Gillis and his wife Betty S. Gillis.

He is survived by his sons, David (Pam), Chris (Anna) and Mike Gillis. Also, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. Plus, many nieces and nephews.
