Jack Curtis, Jr. passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Merit Health  River Region Medical Center at the age of 85. A native and lifelong resident of Vicksburg, he was the son of the late Jack Curtis, Sr. and Doris Strickland Curtis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean Conflict and later graduated from Mississippi College. He was a retired professional wrestler. He served of directors at River City Rescue Mission for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lena Stoute Curtis; two sons, Jimmy Curtis (Sherry) of Dekalb, TX and Doug Curtis (Sarah) of Louisville, TX; a brother, Tommy Curtis of Rockingham, NC; a sister, Gladys of Tyler, TX; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 8 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue.
