James Floyd "Bud" Shiers, Sr. died Monday, October 5, 2020.  He was 91,  Born in Humphries County, he owned and operated Shiers Grocery for many years.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Shiers and Ida Hope Shiers; his wife, Joyce Stanford Shiers; three brothers, Hilbert Shiers, Chester Shiers, and Carl Shiers; and a sister, Helen Shiers.  He is survived by his wife, Helen Luckett Shiers:  two sons, James Shiers, Jr. and Rocky Edward Shiers; two step sons, Jerry Luckett and Sidney Luckett; a step daughter, Debbie Duke; a brother, John Shiers; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Visitation will be 9 AM to 11 AM Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg, MS.  A graveside service will follow at 11 AM at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be K.B. Brown, Cory Shiers, and Zack Shiers.
