James C. Warren, Sr. passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS.  He was 79 years old.

James was born in Yazoo City, MS on July 20, 1943, the son of Ruben Dudley Warren and Marguerite Stevens Warren Hood.  He graduated from HV Cooper High School in 1962 and Mississippi College in 1966.  He was a retired Insurance Agent and a member of Hawkins United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mittie Towne Warren; his parents; his grandson, James Mason Warren and his brother, RD Warren.

He is survived by his son, Jim Warren (Gina), his daughters, Kelley Sanders (Kevin) and Terrie Lynn (Joe); granddaughter, Mary Martin Warren; sister-in-law, Saundra Warren; niece, Wendy Warren Webster and nephews, Chase Warren and Chris Warren.

Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral Home. Please enter cemetery through Gate 3.

The family would like to thank the numerous caregivers and medical staff at Merit Health River Region ICU and Select Specialty Hospital for their dedicated service.
