Jerry Dailey, a retired Vietnam Veteran and resident of Vicksburg, MS peacefully passed away on October 1, 2020 at the age of 79 within the comfort of his family.
Jerry was born in Jasper, Alabama on May 24, 1941 – He proudly served in the US Army for 26 ½ years retiring as Master Sergeant in 1986. He later worked as a civilian at the US Army Corps of Engineers in Vicksburg, MS for over 24 years.
His family knew him only as a kind and mild-mannered military veteran, who always had the right things to say and a larger-than-life personality. Jerry was known for his long, entertaining stories, which he often loved to share. He was a rare combination of someone who had a love of life and firm
understanding of what was most important – the simplicity of living a life with those you love.
He is survived by his wife, Yong Dailey – Sons: Keith Dailey, Jammison Dailey and Nathon Dailey - Daughters-in-law: Sherry Dailey and Karla Dailey - Grandsons: Brayden Dailey, Nathon JR Dailey and Tae Yun Dailey - Niece & Nephews: Vickey Dailey, Jim Dailey, Richard Dailey and Jason Dailey.
A "Celebration of Life" visitation will be held 11:00am and service at 12:00pm at Immanuel Baptist Church on Saturday, October 10th.
