Jesse Lee Holman, Sr. died Friday, December 8, 2023 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center at the age of 79.  Born in Vicksburg, he was the son of the late Theodore Dudley and Mattie Ruth Holman.  He worked as a welder and painter and most recently as a dealer at Harrah's Casino.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He was an avid fisherman and loved visiting with his brothers and sisters.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Holman; his daughter, Patricia Ann Barnette; four brothers:  Melvin Holman, Eddie Holman, Harold "Pee-Wee" Holman, and Alvin Holman, Sr.

He is survived by two sons, Jesse "Jay" Holman, Jr. and Glen Holman (Vanessa); a daughter, Stephanie Holman; a sister, Sue Holman; three brothers:  Sterling "Ed" Holman (Joann), James J. Holman (Cynthia), and Ted Holman (Cam); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 22 at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
