Jesse Randall Martar went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, in Vicksburg, Mississippi.  He was 72.

Randall is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Martar.  Also, he is survived by his daughter, Frances (Andy) Griffith and his son, Randall Leon (Kim) Martar.  Granddaughters Beth Griffith and Kelle (Greg) Sprayberry, and step grandsons Kevin Parrish and Kyle (Caitlin) Parrish, followed by two great step granddaughters Emiyah and Maleigha.  He is survived by his sister, Sue (Jorge) Perez of Texas, as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Randall was born in Monticello, Arkansas, May 21, 1948, to the late Rastus Leon Martar and Frances Lee Martar.  He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving from 1966 to 1968, and received numerous medals as well as two Purple Hearts.  Randall retired from Foam Packaging in Vicksburg, MS,  as a truck driver.  Throughout the majority of his life, he was an excellent welder and pipefitter.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Grace Baptist Church in Vicksburg, MS.  In lieu of flowers, any love offerings can be sent to Grace Baptist Church, 1729 Hankinson Road, Vicksburg, MS, 39180, in memory of Jesse Randall Martar.
