Obituary

Jessie Maxine Ainsworth died Friday, December 25, 2020 at Edgewood Health and Rehab in Byram, MS.  Born in Starkville, MS she had been a resident of Vicksburg from 1946 to 2011, when she moved to Pearl.  She worked for Mercy Hospital as a nurse.  While in Vicksburg, she was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and a member of McLaurin Heights United Methodist Church after moving to Pearl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton Cecil and Berlie Woods Peeks; her husband, James Harold Ainsworth; two brothers, Thurman Peeks and Infant Cecil Peeks.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty Woodfield (Ronnie) of Jackson, MS and Margaret Lee (Alexander) of Pearl, MS; three grandchildren, Dawn Taggart (Stacy), David Woodfield (Keeley), and Dina Ingram (Adam); thirteen great-grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren and one on the way.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Jason Bird officiating.  Pallbearers will be David Woodfield, Christian Woodfield, Carson Woodfield, Stacy Taggart, Casey Taggart, and Adam Ingram.
