John Joseph Breithaupt, 47, passed away at home on September 3, 2020. He was born July 13, 1973 to A. J. and Sadie Breithaupt of Vicksburg, MS. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Frances Breithaupt of Vicksburg, and Nolan and Beatrice Seymour of Ferriday, LA. He is survived by his parents, A. J. and Sadie Breithaupt, three sisters, Judy Raney (David) of Brandon, MS, Janet Gober of Clinton, MS and Susan Prewitt of Vicksburg, the love of his life, Nanette Learned of Vicksburg, childhood best friend, Jason Freeman, and second mom, Colleen Freeman of Vicksburg, MS. He is also survived by nephews Steven Prewitt (Kirsten) and Jacob Prewitt of Vicksburg, Blake Gober (Hannah) of Pearl, MS, niece Lauren Gober of Clinton, great nephews Lane Prewitt and Grayson Gober, and great niece, Kinsley Prewitt.
John graduated from Warren Central High School in 1991, and attended Hinds Community College where he obtained his Associates Degree in Applied Science in Biomedical Technology. He was employed at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital as a biomedical technician, contracted through GE Healthcare.
John enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and making turkey calls, and loved to barbeque for friends and family. He was an avid shooter, as well.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Vicksburg City Cemetery, 326 Lovers Lane at 2:00 p.m. Due to restrictions imposed by the Covid 19 pandemic, attendance at the graveside services will be limited to family and close friends. Pall Bearers will be David Raney, Jason Freeman, Blake Gober, Steven Prewitt, Jacob Prewitt and Kyle Learned.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church, 713 Crawford Street, Vicksburg, MS.
