Obituary

Judith Ann Nussbaum gained her wings and has joined her father and brother in Heaven.  Judy was born in 1972 here in Vicksburg and lived here most of her life.  She was only 49 years young when the Lord called her home, and she jumped on board the first "train" available.  Judy was very active in her community,  especially with the activities relating to her sons.  She was a loving mother, and devoted to her "boys", she recently was the parent leader for the Vicksburg Division of the Mississippi BoyChoir.

Judy was a 1990 graduate of Warren Central High School, held an Associates Degree from Hinds Community College and worked on a degree in Outdoor Recreation from the University of Southern Mississippi.  She was employed by the Mississippi Council of Girl Scouts as a camp director at various camps in Brandon, Meridian, Wiggins, and worked as a staff member for the council in Minnesota one summer and one in Wisconsin the next summer.

Judy married and started teaching preschool at Treasures Learning Center where she taught the four year old to get them ready kindergarten

and had two sons in the years she was there.  Judy became a government contract employee working for Lockheed, Vectrus, and Leidos, then ended as an Operation Systems Manager for SAIC at the time of her death.

Judy was preceded in death by her Brother, Matthew "Mick" from Meridian; her father, Matthew C. Nussbaum; her paternal grandparents, Stella and Matthew Nussbaum all of Vicksburg.  She is survived by her Mom, Eugenia "Genie" Nussbaum, and sons Matthew Turnage  (18)and Spence Turnage (15), all of Vicksburg.
