Katherine Oakes Prevost went to be with the Lord on January 13, 2019 in Clinton MS.She was born on November 17. 1925 in Attala County, Mississippi.Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Riles Funeral Home in Vicksburg, MS.Services will be at 10:30 in the funeral home chapel.Burial will follow at Brister Cemetery in Attala County at 2pm.
Katherine was a long time resident of Warren County and an active member of the Redwood Methodist Church and Redwood Homemakers Club for over 50 years.She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Prevost , her parents John William and Betty Lena Oakes, brothers Clarence, Charles and J.D. Oakes; and sisters Helen Lunceford and Mildred Madden Alexander.
Survivors include sons, Carlos Prevost (Debbie) and Craig Prevost (Amanda); sisters, Bernice Miller, Pearlean Cummins and Betty Long (Jimmy); three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
