Linda Jane Ballard passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center at the age of 80.  Mrs. Ballard was born in Webb City, MO to the late James Robert and Virginia Porter.  She had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1967.  She was a child care provider in her  home for many years and was a member of Bovina Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jimmy Ray Ballard.

She is survived by two daughters, Sara Sykes (Jay) and Mary Anne Starnes (Mike); four grandchildren:  Allyson Wilkinson (Andrew), Tana McCormick (Austin), Tyler Starnes, and Ryan Sykes; and one great grandchild, Jensen Wilkinson.

Services will be held at Noon on Thursday, January 11 at Bovina Baptist Church.  Visitation will be at the church from 11 AM until the hour of service.  Interment will be held at New Cemetery in Mulberry, AR.
