Linda Marie Powell, 55, passed away March 16 after a bravely fought battle with lung cancer.

Linda was born in Shelbyville, Il. She was the youngest daughter of Winifred and Stephanie Powell.  Linda attended elementary school in Troy, Il and high school in Vicksburg, MS.  She also earned a B.S in Psychology.  She spent most of her life in MS with a few years lived in Michigan.

Linda is preceded  in death by her sister, Susan (Powell) Mergner and her father Winifred Powell.  She leaves behind her longtime partner, John Turner IV, of Vicksburg, mother Stephanie Powell of Warner Robins GA and sister Sharon Vorisek of Warner Robins, GA.  She will be missed by all who loved her.

A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue.  Graveside services will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
