Bernadette Weaver passed away on Wednesday, March 19 at the age of 78.  Mrs. Weaver was born on November 26, 1946 in Tacoma WA to the late Burford and Loretta Newman stationed there after WW2.  Her parents moved back to their hometown of Vicksburg when Bernadette was six weeks old, where she spent the remainder of her life. She retired in 1991 from Walgreen's where she was their bookkeeper. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Weaver; her sister Lucinda Tedder; and a nephew, Marty Tedder.

She is survived her daughter, Andrea Weaver and her son, James Weaver (Renee); and three grandchildren:  McKynzee and Gavin Nutt and Adalai Weaver; a sister, Julie Lane; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, March 29 at Hawkins United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be at the church from 11 AM until the hour of service.  Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.   Pallbearers will be Victor Worrell, James Weaver, Stephen Placher, and David Jackson.
