Louisa "Elba" Park passed away March 30, 2022 at the age of 79. Elba was born in Vicksburg, MS on May 11, 1942 to Charles "Harvey" and Louisa Harris. She married James "Jim" F. Park Jr. on December 17, 1960.
Elba was a dedicated mother of four children. Elba and Jim owned and operated a small auto repair and general contractor business for many years. Her interests included gardening, sewing, cooking and walking . Additionally she was an avid swimmer and volunteer swim instructor for the American Red Cross. She was a faithful servant of the Lord at St. Alban's Episcopal church in Bovina MS and later at Porters Chapel United Methodist Church in Vicksburg MS. She loved helping others and even in her final days, Elba was more concerned about the well-being of others than herself.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 55 years James "Jim" F. Park Jr.
She is survived by her children: James Park III, Diane Rogers (Charlie), Charles Park, and Michael Park (Tracy), 12 grandchildren and 22 great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 4th, at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home on Cherry Street, Vicksburg MS from 10:00-12:00 followed by a 12:00 graveside service at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Immediately following the service, family members are invited to Porters Chapel UMC for a luncheon.
Pallbearers will be Nicolas Friley, Zac Friley, Tim McIntyre, Rodney Luckett, Shane Arthur and Andy Cook.
Memorials can be made to Porters Chapel UMC or the cancer charity of your choice.
