Lucia Angelina Franco Brown went to her eternal reward on Friday, April 24, 2020 after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her daughter, Kelly Andrews and her pastor, Father Robert Dore. Lucia was born July 15, 1937. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier Academy and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for many years at Mercy Hospital and The Street Clinic as Director of Nursing. She was preceded in death by her parents, Angelino Franco and Mozelle Self Franco and her brother, Angelino Franco, Jr. Lucia was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Brown Andrews (Dean) of Vicksburg, MS; her son, Carl Brown (Karla) of West Monroe, LA; her grandson, Zachary Brown of West Monroe, LA; her cousins; and many friends. A private graveside service will be held Monday, April 27, 2020 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Father Robert Dore officiating. Pallbearers will be Ed Hampton, Paul Banchetti, Anthony Franco, Jim Cook, Anthony Hall, Douglas Self, Steve Butler, Clay Morgan, Terry Cox, and Sammy Childress. Honorary pallbearers will be the nursing staff of Vicksburg Convalescent Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Michael Catholic Church, 100 St. Michael Place, Vicksburg, MS 39180 or to Vicksburg Catholic School.
