Lucille Nadine Holsomback died Sunday, October 11, 2020 at The Bluffs.  She was 83.  Mrs. Holsomback was a native of Vicksburg and the daughter of the late Wallace Thrash and Dennie Keorper.  She was a 1955 graduate of Carr Central High School.  After graduation she became the first female from Vicksburg to join the U.S. Air Force.  She returned to Vicksburg in 1963 and began a career in nursing, mostly as an ER nurse at Vicksburg Medical Center.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step father, Holly Keorper; a son, Dewayne Holsomback; two daughters, Terry Odom and Lori Stevens; and a grandson, Eric Robinson.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Griffin of Delta, LA; three sons, Mark Robinson (Jackie) of North Hollywood, CA, Don Holsomback (Teresa) of Kansas City, MO, and Rusty Holsomback (Betty) of Hattiesburg, MS; seven grandchildren:  Lee Armstead (Winter), Kelsi O'Neal (Harley), Holly Hadad (Doug), Drew Robinson, Savannah Horton, Amber Roberts, and Sarah Holsomback; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue, Vicksburg, MS.  with the Rev. Sam Godfrey officiating.   Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service.  Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Harley O'Neal, Lee Armstead, Doug Hadad, Martin Pace, Robert Griffin and Cody Blakely.   Honorary pallbearers will be the employees and staff of The Bluffs.
