Lula Scarber "Judy" Sanders passed away at her home on Thursday, November 28 at the age of 80.  She had been a resident of Vicksburg for the past 60 years.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and Christian, and a member of Wilderness Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Fannie Scarber; her husband, Charles Sanders, Sr.; a brother, Aubrey Scarber; and a sister, Marceline Self.

She is survived by her son, Charles L. "Chuck" Sanders, Jr. (Stephanie) of Spring, TX; two grandsons, Logan Sanders and Cole Sanders, both of Spring, TX; her sister-in-law, Jewel Scarber of Vicksburg; and a nephew, Sam Scarber, also of Vicksburg.

Upon her request, no services will be held.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of choice.
