Margie Ruth Solomon, loving mother, wife and businesswoman, lost her long battle with cancer and died at her summer home near Asheville, NC.
She was born and educated in Mississippi and, for 35 years, served as Budget Director for The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. For the last 20 years, she was a resident of Vicksburg and leaves behind her husband, John Gerard Solomon, her two children-Dr. Melanie Ruth Solomon of Asheville, NC and Dr. Lee Daniel Casey and her daughter-in-law, Ashley McCoy Casey, of Liberty, MS.They are the parents of Margie & John's four Casey grandchildren - Mylee Ruth, Darcy Brooks, Dakota Payne and Dallas Brown.She is also survived by a sister, Brownie Briggs Bounds, and brother-in-law Al Bounds of Pensacola, FL.
There are not enough words to adequately describe the wonderful person Margie Ruth was -full of life, kind and sweet. Incredibly intelligent.She loved her family and Christ above all else, and over the years, was instrumental in helping many young men and women fine tune their medical and business careers.
Visitation will be held at Riles Funeral Home from 5:00 - 7:00 pm Monday, October 14, with a brief Graveside service Tuesday morning, October 15 at 10:00 am at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 326 Lover's Lane in Vicksburg.
