Marjorie Ann Rogers Jones, 77, of Vicksburg, Mississippi, passed away on September 26, 2026. She was born on October 14, 1948.

Marjorie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a registered nurse in Vicksburg, Mississippi, before retiring from her nursing career. Her greatest joy, however, was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will live on through the generations.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Jones, and her parents, Otis and Opal Rogers.Marjorie is survived by her children: daughters, Stephanie Jones Moon (Cohn Moon), Marjorie “Cisi” Mathews (Michael Mathews), and Jamie Jones; and son, David “Hootie” Jones II (Marcy Jones).She is also survived by her grandchildren: Matthew Collins (Dee), Jonathan “Andrew” Collins, Brandon Collins (India), Cati Mathews, Madi Mathews, Emma Massey (Chad), Aubrey Worthington, Tanner Jones, Isabella Jones, and Anabelle Jones; and her great-grandchildren, Poppy Collins and Liam Massey.She is also survived by her siblings, Johnny Rogers (Jenny) and Tina Rogers.Marjorie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched throughout her years as a nurse and in her community. Her compassion, love, and devotion to her family will remain a lasting part of her legacy.She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and forever missed!

Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, October 1 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Michael Mathews, David "Hootie" Jones, II, Cohn Moon, Matthew Collins, Brandon Collins, Tanner Jones, Colton Cone, and Joshua Larsen.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan "Andrew" Collins and Chad Massey.
