Marjorine Russell Kirk died Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at the Magnolia Manor Apartments in Vicksburg.  She was born on February 19, 1935 in Tallulah, Louisiana, and was 86 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rupert and Beatrice Russell, and her younger brother, Kenneth Russell.

After graduating Tallulah High School she moved to Jackson, Mississippi where she started working in the insurance industry.  She continued to work for various insurance companies in the Jackson area throughout her career of over 45 years, before retiring as the office manager.  After retiring she moved to Vicksburg.   She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson and then later the First Baptist Church in Vicksburg. She taught in the senior class at both churches.  She was also a board member of Son Valley.

Survivors include her son, Ken Kirk, her sisters, Margaret Brumfield and Betty Pigott,  her brother, Wayne Russell, nephews and nieces, as well as grandnieces and grandnephews.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 5 PM  on Sunday, 8 August 2021 at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 5000 Indiana Avenue in Vicksburg.   Graveside services will be at 11 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021 at New Ebenezer Cemetery in Castor, Louisiana with Chaplain Theo Sutton of Traditions Hospice Care officiating.  Burial will follow under the direction of Fisher-Riles Funeral home.

The family requests that memorials may be made to Son Valley.
