Marlaina Marie Chavez was born on October 26, 1974 to Larry and Shirlene Credille. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, June 20, 2022. Marlaina was raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi and lived there until she met her beloved husband, Gabriel Chavez and his son, Kyle. They made their family home in Maryland. Marlaina loved God and her family above all else. Her beautiful smile could light up a room!

Funeral services are set for Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Fisher-Riles Funeral Home, 1830 Cherry Street, with burial immediately following in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m until time of service. Serving as pallbearers will be George Stinespring, Bon Bergeron, Skyler Wilbanks, Miguel Prewitt, Hunter Bailey, and Mason Berry. Honorary Pallbearer Drew Bergeron.

Marlaina was preceded in death by her mother, Shirlene Credille, one brother, Jerry Bergeron, and both her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Family left behind to carry on her legacy include her husband, Gabriel Chavez, and son, Kyle Chavez of Maryland; her father, Larry M. Credille of Vicksburg, MS; her brother and his wife, Joey & Erica Credille also of Vicksburg, MS; her sister-in-law Brandy Bergeron of Dallas, TX; nieces and nephews: Heather & Mason Berry and Bon & Olivia Bergeron (Arkansas), Drew Bergeron & Lila Hearn (Dallas, TX), Skyler & Becky Willbanks, Miguel Prewitt, and Luke Credille (Vicksburg, MS); and three great nieces & 2 great nephews along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.
