Obituary

Mary Patricia Booth Fulton died January 25, 2020 in Byram, Mississippi after a short illness. Mary Pat was born January 3, 1939 in Memphis, TN to William and Elizabeth Booth. She was a 1957 graduate of St. Francis Xavier Academy and later received a B.A. in History from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX.

As a devout member of both St. Michael Catholic Church and St. Paul Catholic Church in Vicksburg, she was active as well in the charismatic movement at St. Mary Catholic Church. Mary Pat enjoyed gardening, quilting, working puzzles of all types and creating impressionistic paintings. She was a member of the Vicksburg Riding Club, the Red Carpet Riding Club and the Vicksburg Quadrille Team. Mary Pat was employed by the Culkin Water District and later, Waterways Experiment Station in Vicksburg. As the oldest of 10 siblings, she was an integral part of their upbringing. She also cared for several years for both her mother and her mother-in-law during their illnesses.

She is survived by three children from her  marriage to Harry McBroom, Teresa Vinson (Troy), ND, Jeff McBroom (Vicksburg) and Mary Glyn Wolff (Gene) FL,  five brothers, William, Paul, Mike, Jerome, and John Booth and one sister, Peggy Booth Rector and five grandchildren— Robin McBroom Smith, Alexis McBroom, Marcel, Natalie and Eugene Wolff. She has two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her second husband of 35 years, Richard Fulton, two children, Rachel McBroom and Will Daniel McBroom, sister, Alice Booth, brothers, Joseph and George Booth and grandchildren, Tory Vinson, and Robert McBroom.

Visitation will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Paul Catholic Church in Vicksburg.  A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. at St Paul Catholic Church followed by graveside services.
