Melissa Paige Gardner Barker "Missy" passed away peacefully on Friday, April 18 at Merit Health River Region Medical Center at the age of 57.  Melissa grew up in Vicksburg.  She was the daughter of Homer R. and Sandra  G. Gardner and was a graduate of St. Aloysius High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.  She was loving mother to her children and daughter to her mother.

Melissa was preceded in death by her father, Homer R. Gardner.

She is survived by two daughters, Mason Barker and Marin Barker; her mother, Sandra G Gardner; her brother, Chris Gardner (Cheryl);  and her nephew, Colin Gardner.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 22 at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery.
